Equestrian Team

The Holly Equestrian Team is a group of students who practice and compete within the Michigan Interscholastic Horsemanship Association (MIHA). 

Riders must own or have the ability to lease or borrow a horse for practices and meets. 
Riders compete in a multitude of events including:

  • Hunt seat showmanship, equitation, bareback and equitation over fences
  • Saddle seat showmanship, equitation, bareback and pattern
  • Western showmanship, equitation, bareback and reining/western riding
  • TrailSpeed (cloverleaf, flag race, two-man relay and more)

Students wit the Holly Equestrian Team bannerThe top two teams from each division from the three districts meet at Milford High School move on to Regionals at Shiawassee Fairgrounds. The top teams for each division at Regionals move on to the State Championship at Midland Fairgrounds.
For the 2017 season, the Holly High School team took the District 1 Championship division "B" and a fourth place at the regional championship.
