Do you Love Science? Join the Science Olympiad! We meet after school in room 303 every Thursday!
Science Olympiad is a competitive extracurricular program for students inspiring to be scientist and engineers. There are 23 events spanning several, science and engineering disciplines.
Each event is designed to further student knowledge beyond the classroom, giving students the opportunity to explore topics that often they would not experience in their normal school day.
The team will compete in 2 to 3 Invitational tournaments during January and February as practice for the Reginal Tournament at the beginning of March. Top ranking teams at the Reginal Tournament will advance to the State Tournament in May at the Michigan State University. Although the overall team score determines advancement to the State Competition, students are awarded medals for superior performance in individual events.
2019 Competition dates:
Clio Invitational: Jan. 19
Frankenmuth Invitational: Feb. 9
University of Michigan Invitational: Feb. 16
Regional: March 2nd
