Community / Parents

The village of Holly is located in northern Oakland County.  It’s unique location allows citizens to experience the sense of caring and community that comes with a small town feel without being too far from the conveniences of more suburban environments.

A great deal of business activity in Holly’s Historic Downtown draws local shoppers and visitors to several shops and boutiques featuring a variety of Michigan-made and unique hand-crafted products and merchandise.  Many people also take advantage of fine dining at any one of the great restaurants or cafe options.

For the outdoor enthusiasts, there are several places in the area for youth and adults to enjoy the outdoors at one of the many parks including Seven Lakes State Park, Rose Oaks, Springfield Oaks, Groveland Recreation Area, Holly Recreation Area, Sorensen Park, and the Heritage Farmstead.  As the seasons change, many people enjoy riding the nearby Holdridge Lakes Mountain Bike Trails or the Foundation Trail at Holly High School and then hit the slopes at Mt. Holly, Southeast Michigan’s premiere ski resort.

From the many festivals and community events to the quality services and excellent education, the Holly community along with Holly Area Schools offers residents a great place to call home.
