Early Release – Holly High School
2/27/26 - Due to a water main break, Holly High School will dismiss at 10:30 a.m. today. All bus routes will run as normal. All after-school activities and events scheduled at Holly High School are canceled for today. The Flint Metro League Swim & Dive Championships at Fenton High School will take place as scheduled.

School is canceled today, Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Many back roads remain untreated and challenging due to recent snow, making travel difficult for buses.
Athletic Update:
After assessing the improving road conditions, we are going to allow the following high school athletic events and practices take place under the following conditions:
- Varsity Ski vs. Grand Blanc @ Mt. Holly starting at 4:00 is on as scheduled
- HS Boys Basketball games @ Owosso HS starting at 4:00 (bus departs for all three levels at 2:30) are on as scheduled
- Unified Basketball @ Owosso HS (halftime of the varsity boys game) is on as scheduled
- Varsity Boys Swim and Dive at Avondale HS starting at 6:00 (bus departs at 3:30) is on as scheduled
- Varsity Girls Basketball games vs. Owosso at Holly HS starting at 5:30 are on as scheduled
- All other high school in season practices can take place as scheduled between 3:00-8:00 p.m. These practices are non-mandatory.

Per our district policy, all middle school athletic events are canceled for this afternoon. This includes middle school boys basketball games vs. Linden, competitive cheer practice, and swim/dive meet at Kearsley.

- Varsity Boys Bowling vs. Brandon @ Holly Lanes at 6:00 is on as scheduled
- All other high school in season practices can take place as scheduled between 3:00-8:00 p.m. These practices are non-mandatory.

Our area experienced snow most of the day with some snow continuing into the late evening hours. Many of our roads still remain a challenge and it is unlikely that all of our roads will be treated by early morning.
As a result, school is canceled tomorrow, Monday, January 26th.
Additional announcements regarding Monday evening events will come out tomorrow around noon.

Holly Area Schools will be dismissing students earlier this afternoon allowing buses additional time and keeping elementary routes on schedule.
- Holly High School will dismiss at 2:00 pm
- Middle School at 2:20 pm
- All four elementary buildings will dismiss approximately 10 mins earlier as buses return from their secondary route.
- Early Child Programs will remain on regular business hours
- High School athletics will continue as scheduled for this evening
