A few examples of coalition initiatives are: Lifeskills Character Building program for 4th, 5th and 6th grade students, The STAND Group for 7th and 8th grade students, Holly High School Youth Action Board, Youth Dialogue Day at Holly High School, Town Hall Meetings and Parent Education opportunities, the Parents Who Host, Lose the Most and Safe Graduation campaign, Sticker Shock and Synar Tobacco Compliance Checks. Currently we are partnering with other area coalitions to promote the "Clear the Smoke" campaign throughout Oakland County. This campaign's primary focus is to educate parents and youth about the risks associated with youth marijuana use. Additionally, the Coalition is participating in a county-wide campaign entitled "Be the Solution" which focuses on prescription drug abuse prevention. Please visit our website and like us on Facebook to stay up-to-date with the latest prevention information.

The Holly Area Community Coalition has an open meeting policy and always welcomes new members and ideas. We meet on the third Monday of each month at the Karl Richter Campus, located at 920 Baird Street, at 6:30 p.m. Please join us to find out ways you can get involved.
