Broncho Virtual School Pathways

Broncho Virtual School offers 3 pathways:

Broncho Virtual Pathways, 2nd-8th Pathway has HAS Teacher/Mentor, 6 Courses/Trimester, Self-Paced Schedule, Asynchronous Instruction, Weekly progress monitoring, personalized intervention, in-person learning lab option. 9th-12th pathway includes HAS teachers/mentors, 5 courses/trimester, self-paced, asynchronous instruction, in-person learning lab options, mastery-based, 28 credit graduation requirement, HHS diploma and commencement ceremony. 11th-12th EXCEL alternative pathway has HAS teachers/mentors, personalized and flexible schedules, 18 credit graduation requirement, mastery-based grading, extended learning time, required weekly small group in-person learning, sequential learning and credit recovery options, career-prep options.

Elementary (2nd-5th)

Elementary BVS students require significant support from adults at home. Students will also be supported by a HAS teacher and will have the option to attend in-person sessions during Learning Lab days/hours. Reading intervention resources will be provided for struggling readers. The majority of their work will be completed online with the necessary printed materials and supplies provided. Students may also have occasional live virtual sessions with their teacher and peers. Elementary students will be expected to stay within two weeks of target due dates and must meet and maintain enrollment criteria in order to participate or remain in the virtual program.

Middle School (6th-8th)

Middle School BVS students require home support in order to stay organized and on pace with their coursework. Students will be supported by a HAS teacher and will have the option to attend in-person sessions during Learning Lab days/hours. The majority of the coursework will be completed online with printed materials and supplies provided when necessary. Students may also have occasional live virtual sessions with their teacher and peers.

High School (9th - 12th)

High school BVS students will work with their counselors to discuss and select their schedule of courses. Students will be supported by dedicated HAS virtual teachers and will have the option to attend in-person sessions during Learning Lab days/hours. Students will be required to complete final exams and state testing in-person. BVS students who complete all graduation requirements will be eligible to receive a Holly High School diploma and attend the HHS commencement ceremony.

EXCEL Alternative (11th-12th*)

EXCEL students will work with our BVS counselor to develop a personalized schedule of classes necessary to earn a high school diploma. EXCEL students will complete online assignments and receive small group in-person support from BVS teachers weekly. Students who complete EXCEL graduation requirements will receive a BVS EXCEL Alternative diploma and be invited to attend a commencement ceremony for EXCEL students and their friends and family.
