HHS Presenter Wednesday December 6th
Dear Holly High School Families,
Last month we shared with our families the coordinated efforts to support students, staff, and families following the unfortunate tragedies that impacted Holly High School in the month of October.
One of the steps in our process has been to acknowledge the feedback from our students to bring a mental health speaker to Holly High School. We have been fortunate to receive commitment from Jared Scott, a presenter with extensive experience and dedicated to raising awareness and breaking the stigma around mental health.
On Wednesday, December 6, 2023, Jared Scott will be presenting at Holly High School. The day will include a Keynote presentation offered to all high school students. Mr. Scott will share his own personal story of losing a close friend to suicide. His program addresses important aspects such as purpose-finding, leadership growth, respect, self-worth, and emotional intelligence.
Following the Keynote presentation, some of our students will also have an opportunity to participate in a special breakout session with Mr. Scott.
While we offer this opportunity to your student, participation is not required. We respect and support your right to have your Student Opt-Out.
Complete the following form only if you DO NOT want your student(s) to attend the presentation with Jared Scott on December 6th. Students not attending will remain in class.
The form must be completed by 3:00 pm on Monday, December 4th.

Mr. Scott will conclude his visit to Holly High School with a special Community Night (evening of Wednesday, December 6th) at 6 pm for students and parents to hear messages from his morning Keynote and bring more understanding to everyone together. We encourage our parents to join us on the evening of December 6th.
