HAS Health & Enrollment Fair draws 725+ for health visits, supplies ahead of school year
This year marks event’s 10th anniversary, demonstrating district’s continued commitment to student health, wellness, success
HOLLY, Mich. — This month’s Holly Area Schools Health & Enrollment Fair drew more than 725 people to meet with health professionals, enroll in school and pick up supplies ahead of the 2026-2027 school year.
The Aug. 1 fair, held at Holly High School, was the event’s 10th anniversary, demonstrating the district’s continued commitment to student health, wellness and success. The district provides the annual event at no cost for students in pre-K through 12th grade to launch each school year with Bronchos prepared and ready to learn.
More than 400 backpacks and bags filled with school supplies were handed out to students.. Nearly 45 sports physicals, more than 40 haircuts, 45 vision screenings, 25 dental screenings, and more than 500 lunches were provided to help Broncho families get ready for the new school year.
Families also had access to community and mental health support resources, and had the opportunity to register their children in the district’s early childhood and Latchkey programs.
“For a decade, our event has provided a one-stop-shop for our Broncho families to help ensure their children are safe, healthy and ready to learn on Day One,” said Scott Roper, Holly Area Schools superintendent. “I’d like to thank all our Broncho staff and our 30-plus community partners for making this year’s event one for the record books. There has truly never been a better time to be a Broncho, and we’re excited for the amazing school year ahead.”
