Athletic Update for Wednesday, February 12th

School is canceled today, Thursday, December 11th, as many areas on our backroads remain hazardous for travel this morning.  All after school events will be reviewed later today with an announcement coming in the early afternoon.  Be Safe and Go Bronchos!!

Afternoon Events Update:

Per our district policy, all middle school athletic events are cancelled for this afternoon.  This includes our middle school wrestling match at Fenton along with middle school volleyball practice.

After assessing the improving road conditions, we are going to allow the following high school athletic events and practices take place under the following conditions:

·      Varsity Wrestling @ LakeVille HS (bus departs at 3:15)

·      Freshman and JV Boys basketball games vs. Linden are on as scheduled.  The freshman will play at 5:30 and the JV will follow at approximately 7:00

·      All other high school in season practices can take place as scheduled after 3:00 p.m.  These practices are non-mandatory.

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your day off from school.  I wanted to provide a quick update regarding high school and middle school athletic events and practices for this afternoon.  Please see below and feel free to reach out should you have any questions.

Per our district policy, all middle school athletic events are cancelled for this afternoon.  This includes our middle school volleyball matches at Lapeer along with middle school wrestling practice.

After assessing the road conditions, we are also going to cancel all high school athletic events and practices for this evening.  This includes:

• Varsity Wrestling vs. Lake Fenton, LakeVille, and Perry (rescheduled for 12/11 at LakeVille HS)
• Varsity Hockey vs. Bay City Central
• All HS practices/workouts (both in season and out of season)

Attention Parents/Guardians, Former Students, Eligible (Adult) Students:

Please take notice that Holly Area Schools intends to destroy certain student records for students who graduated or left the District on or before May 30, 2018 with Special Education or with a 504 Plan on or before May 30, 2021. Holly Area Schools has determined that it no longer has a need to maintain those records.

If you are a parent/guardian or a former student who would like to inspect those records scheduled for destruction as described in this notice, please contact: Special Education Department at 248-328-3170. Please note that unless Holly Area Schools has received a request before September 30, 2025, it may destroy those records as permitted by state and federal law.
