Athletic Annoucement

Holly Area Schools will be dismissing students earlier this afternoon allowing buses additional time and keeping elementary routes on schedule.  

• Holly High School will dismiss at 2:00 pm
• Middle School at 2:20 pm
• All four elementary buildings will dismiss approximately 10 mins earlier as buses return from their secondary route.  
• Early Child Programs will remain on regular business hours
• High School athletics will continue as scheduled for this evening

Athletic Update for Friday, January 23rd

In accordance with school districts across the Flint Metro League, our regularly scheduled high school athletic events will continue on Friday, January 23rd and Saturday, January 24th.  The exception will be tonight’s basketball games have been canceled by Linden Schools.  Please see the following events below that take place today and tomorrow: 

• Friday 1/23/26:

  • V Ice Hockey vs. North Oakland 7:00

  • Varsity only (non-mandatory) practices will be permitted between 2:00-6:00

• Saturday 1/24/26:

  • V Boys and Girls Bowling vs. Kearsley @ Cherry Hill (Clarkston) 9:00

  • V Wrestling @ Oxford HS 9:00

The JV and Varsity Girls Basketball games vs. Linden will be made up Monday February 2nd at 5:30 (JV) and 7:00 (Varsity).

The Varsity Boys Basketball game vs. Linden will be made up on Monday February 9th at 7:00.

School is cancelled today, Thursday, January 15, 2026, due to challenging road conditions making it difficult for travel.

Update for Athletic Events and Practices:

- Per our district policy, all middle school athletic events are cancelled for this afternoon.  This includes:

• MS boys basketball
• MS competitive cheer
• MS swim/dive practice

- After assessing the improving road conditions, we are going to allow the following high school athletic events and practices to take place under the following conditions:

• Varsity Ski vs. Flint Powers @ Mt. Holly starting at 4:00 is on as scheduled
• Freshman and JV Boys basketball games vs. Swartz Creek are on as scheduled.  The freshman will play at 5:30 and the JV will follow at approximately 7:00
• Varsity Swim and Dive (Genesee Co. Dive Prelims) starting at 6:00 is on as scheduled
• All other high school in season practices can take place as scheduled after 3:00 p.m.  These practices are non-mandatory.

School is canceled today, Thursday, December 11th, as many areas on our backroads remain hazardous for travel this morning.  All after school events will be reviewed later today with an announcement coming in the early afternoon.  Be Safe and Go Bronchos!!

Afternoon Events Update:

Per our district policy, all middle school athletic events are cancelled for this afternoon.  This includes our middle school wrestling match at Fenton along with middle school volleyball practice.

After assessing the improving road conditions, we are going to allow the following high school athletic events and practices take place under the following conditions:

·      Varsity Wrestling @ LakeVille HS (bus departs at 3:15)

·      Freshman and JV Boys basketball games vs. Linden are on as scheduled.  The freshman will play at 5:30 and the JV will follow at approximately 7:00

·      All other high school in season practices can take place as scheduled after 3:00 p.m.  These practices are non-mandatory.
