Special Donation Project in Honor of Deegan Walton

Dear Holly Area Schools Families,
Our entire Broncho community was left heartbroken by the tragic death of Holly High School senior Deegan Walton in early October. Over the past two months, students, friends, and family have not only grieved but found ways to support one another and heal together.
One of Deegan’s best friends, senior student Brooke Lawrence, has set up a special donation project as a way to honor Deegan and support the Oakland County Animal Shelter. Brooke, with the support of friend Lauren Henry, has made several donation boxes that will be set up across the community (Karl Richter Campus, Springfield Township Hall and Library, and Holly High School) for items to be donated and collected.
The dates for collection are December 8th - 21st. Please see the donation information flyer for specific details from Brooke, including a QR code with a list of things to donate that the shelter needs.
Brooke identified the Oakland County Animal Shelter as an important cause to support. She and Deegan had plans to adopt a dog from the shelter in the near future. Deegan loved animals, especially dogs. Any support that others can provide to this cause would mean a lot to him.
