It is critical we continue following all necessary health and safety protocols before, during and after break.
March 25, 2021
Dear Holly Area Schools families and staff,
I want to take this opportunity to check in with our families just before spring break. As we continue to see a rise in COVID-19 cases at the national, state and local levels, it is critical we continue following all necessary health and safety protocols before, during and after break.
We know our students are excited to experience a break from school, and that many of our families may be traveling next week. As you finalize plans, please consider how a lapse in following protocols could result in closures of our classrooms or buildings in the weeks to come. For families traveling outside the country, we encourage you to review the new CDC recommendations and new federal laws regarding international travel.
While many of us are fatigued with COVID-19 protocols and social distancing guidelines, it is crucial we continue taking all necessary precautions to keep our district safe and remain open for in-person learning. Additionally, there are several upcoming spring activities, including athletics and graduation, we would like to experience together as a community. That will only be possible if we prioritize health and safety now.
With the support of our Broncho students, families and staff, we have kept our buildings open for the In-Person option since our second reopening on Jan. 20. Over the past 10 weeks, we have been able to minimize quarantine of students and staff to keep our buildings open, and we hope to continue this trend through the end of the school year. Let’s remember to not let our guard down. Please continue to be safe and responsible in and out of school.
Finally, I’d like to reiterate that we appreciate the continued partnership we have with our Broncho families, who continue making unprecedented sacrifices during this public health crisis. Our Broncho families continue to demonstrate patience, understanding and resilience, and I want to personally thank all of you for working with us.
Please make every effort this spring break to protect yourself and others. I hope all our students, families and staff have a restful and safe break.
Please continue to check our district website for updates regarding our Return to Learn Plan.
Thank you everyone. #BronchosUnited #BronchoPride
Sincerely,
Scott M. Roper, Superintendent
