New Principal Introduction

I was born and raised in the Flint/Grand Blanc area. I earned a BA in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan and my MA in K-12 Curriculum and Instruction from Eastern Michigan University. I obtained my K-12 Administrative Certification through the Path To Leadership Program with MASSP.

Outside of school I have many interests. Thanks to my partner in crime, Alex, a deputy with the Genesee County Sheriff Office, I have a newfound love for the outdoors. Together we refurbished a 1950’s vintage camper from the frame up. Almost four years ago we bought a true “fixer upper” tiny cabin in Mio near the Au Sable River. When we are not knee deep in yard work, we love kayaking and ATV riding in our neck of the woods.

I am prepared and excited to begin this new journey with you at Holly Elementary. Our school is fortunate to be deeply rooted in the local community and we will continue to build links between our students, teachers, and local organizations together. With a mission and vision built upon the foundation of success for all students, I am excited to join the Holly Elementary team and continue this beautiful story together.

I wanted to take this opportunity to remind you that my door is always open to you. The Holly Elementary doors are always open to your children and your family. Our doors are open to our community. We will walk through these doors together, we will explore doors that have not yet been discovered, and we will guide each other along on our journey at Holly Elementary. Please know that your children are a precious gift that you send through our doors each day. We are privileged and honored to take their hands in ours each and every day.
