Dear Holly High School Students and Parents,

On Monday, January 11th, the Holly Area Schools Board of Education approved the district’s recommendation to return to in-person learning, effective on Wednesday, January 20th.  In preparation for the transition back to the classroom, please review the information below.

Academic Calendar 

  • Classes will meet in-person on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
  • Wednesdays will remain virtual, with dedicated time for academic intervention and social-emotional support. 
  • The exceptions to that schedule are the weeks of January 18th  and February 15th.  Since those weeks have Monday and Tuesday off school, we will not hold a virtual Wednesday schedule. There will be full days on January 20th and February 17th.   

Daily Procedures
Operations, procedures, and requirements at school will remain the same as last Fall, including:   

  • Bus Schedules
  • Staggered arrival and dismissal
  • Mask and social distancing mandates
  • Cohort scheduling for students and staff
  • Assigned seating at all times
  • Coordinated hallway traffic including limited student mobility
  • Bell schedule
  • Free breakfast and lunch for all students, ordered in advance

Teaching Practices

Staff will continue to encourage student engagement and active learning by planning lessons and activities that include balanced use of 

  • Small group interaction 
  • Individual work time 
  • Individualized feedback and conferencing
  • Teacher-driven direct instruction

We have missed the energy and enthusiasm for learning that our students bring to the building every day and look forward to seeing all of you next week!
