HAS 2030 provides roadmap for continued Broncho student success for years to come
Holly district families, staff, school board, business leaders build plan to prepare students for careers, bright futures

HOLLY, Mich. Holly Area Schools has announced Holly Area Schools 2030 (HAS 2030) — the district’s new, comprehensive strategic plan that provides a roadmap for continued Broncho student success for the next several years. The strategic plan also embraces the district’s continued focus on school safety and helping ensure the physical and mental health of all students and staff in a vibrant, nurturing learning environment.

The strategic plan was created with input from the entire Broncho community, including students, families, staff, the Holly Area Schools Board of Education and local business and trade industry leaders. The plan is designed to be fully implemented by 2030.

“At Holly Area Schools, we have had much to celebrate in recent years, and HAS 2030 helps us build on those achievements and continue providing a world-class education that prepares our Bronchos for the jobs of tomorrow, including those in the skilled trades and that don’t require a college degree,” said Scott Roper, Holly Area Schools superintendent. “Our new strategic plan promotes excellence in education, empowers our students, inspires our staff, engages our community and forges strong partnerships that invest in our Bronchos.”

The strategic plan includes five “Building Blocks” with goals for students to follow their individual interests and eventually career goals (Empowered Students), teachers and support staff to seek professional development and mentoring opportunities (Inspired Staff), local stakeholders to get involved with student achievement (Engaged Community), programs to help ensure student safety, security and wellness (Resilient Systems), and a network of partnerships with industry leaders, local professionals and community organizations (Strong Partnerships).

“Our entire School Board is thrilled to work alongside our teachers, staff, administrators, students, families, business and trades leaders and our entire Broncho Community in putting this first-of-its-kind plan into action,” said Leigh Jackson, Holly Area Schools Board of Education president. “Working together, we will use HAS 2030 to help shape the future of our district to continue providing every student with the tools to realize their goals and thrive in a rapidly changing world.”
